MADOR, 32, AND DAY, 36
By MARINA VATAJ
September 17, 2006 -- JULY 15 - First impressions can be misleading, as Cindy Louise Day found about her future husband, Raymond Joseph Mador Jr. 'I wasn't head over heels,' says Day, a fourth-grade teacher in Woodside, Queens, of her first meeting with Mador, a Yellow Freight driver. 'I felt he was putting on a tough-guy act.' Still, the couple, who met on matchmaker.com, gave it another shot - and Day soon learned the macho routine was just nerves. Two years later, the pair wed near their home at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Lindenhurst, L.I. Afterward, the newlyweds celebrated with 134 guests at Chateau La Mer, where they dined on Chilean sea bass and North Atlantic salmon, while a nine-piece band regaled guests with classic disco, '40s and rock 'n' roll tunes.
ESSENTIALS
Bridesmaid dresses: Watters & Watters designs in pacific blue
Favors: red wine from Pugliese Vineyards
First dance: Allison Krauss and Randy Travis' 'You Say It Best When You Say Nothing at All'
