Our Wedding 9-14-01

I will post a vendor review at a later date. Right now I want to take a moment to encourage all of you that will be married in the next few weeks to move forward with your plans. We discused postponing our reception earlier in the week and decided not to. I am very glad we did. At our ceremony our Deacon said a few words and offered a prayer for our country, and all who were touched by the tragedy on Tuesday. It was very comforting. Other than that we proceded with our ceremony as planned. During the reception we heard over and over how happy everyone was to be together for this celebration and numerous people told us that 'everyone needed this'. We dedicated a song to our friends that could not be with us because they are part of the rescue effort, NYC Fire Fighters, Police Officers and Coast Guard. The day was wonderful and people enjoyed themself. John's brother is a USMC Major. When he heard that we thinking about postponing the reception he said this to us. Take Back Your Life - Don't Let This Stop You From Living. That Is Not What We Are About. So for all you brides in the next few weeks - Please Move Forward it's not easy but you and your guests will be happy that you did.

Fran, I am so happy to hear your day went well, and that it proved to be a comfort to all your loved ones. John's brother is right - not just for soon-to-be-weds, but for all of us. Fran, you are an inspiration. God bless you and your new hubby, and I am so glad that your day went, so well amidst the recent tragedy. It is good to hear something happy. When you get a chance, I want details (especially about Imagine Studios). But, for now, enjoy your new life.

Congratulations!

I am so happy to hear that you went through with both the wedding and reception and that you had such a wonderful day. I was thinking about you a lot on Friday and hoping that all was well. I am glad that it was!!! We are planning to have a moment of silence during our ceremony next Sunday as a way of remembering all those who were lost. We do feel that we must go on with our lives and live them as fully as possible. Best wishes and good luck to both you and your husband.
