Ha!!!!! I don't know how many people post this type of thing but I am so excited. They just arrived. They are ivory like my dress and I love them. FH and I are wearing them around the house right now!!!

THey are the Jewish head coverings....for the men to wear during the ceremony. It is worn during any lifecycle ceremony, in temple, and very religious people wear them all the time...symbolic that there is something higher.

I'm learning so much about the Jewish religion on LIW. I have to say that my favs are the katubbah and the I can't remember the name....not the arch...the house. I'm drawing a complete blank..sorry But I love both those traditions.

that was so cute...the chuppa is opened on all sides....the and stand under it for the ceremony. It is open on all 4 sides, representing that our home will always be opened to family and friends. Its also portable, symbolizing that as long as we have each other, we have a home.
