Out of State Officiant
I am wondering if anyone knows the answer because really the rules for officiants is giving me a headache lol.A family friend in Florida is a pastor and we would like him to marry us here in nassau county. It seems like only officiants marrying in NYC need to register in NY. I'm trying to figure out if he has to register in NYS to be able to marry us or if he can just do it because he is a pastor.
Anyone with knowledge on this??

Out of State Officiant - Long Island Weddings
I don't believe he needs to. My uncle is a minister in Florida and he's coming up to marry us. He married another friend of the family a few years ago in NY as well and I don't think there were any issues. I'll see if I can get any info from my uncle or the other couple he married and let you know.Welcome New Vendors
