Out of Town Baskets

Hi everyone! I'm in the middle of making my out of town baskets for the hotel the night of the wedding and I'm having a difficult time coming up how to word our itinerary. Any ideas?? Thanks!

Re: Out of Town Baskets

This is what our letter said:

Welcome to [names] wedding!

We are so happy you are here sharing this special moment with us! We hope you enjoy your stay and that you have a fantastic weekend.

We have a big day planned for tomorrow so be sure to get lots of rest tonight.

If you need transportation to the wedding, we have arranged for a shuttle between the hotel and the Surf Club. The shuttle departs promptly at 4:40 pm. If you do not make it onto the shuttle, we have also arranged for taxi cabs to be waiting out front. We ask that you arrive at the Surf Club no later than 5:30pm.

Shuttles will be waiting at the Surf Club to take you back to the hotel at 11:40 pm and 11:50 pm.

We did a letter inside the bags:

Welcome and thanks for coming! We’re so happy that you could make it to our wedding.

We’ve put together this bag of treats for you to enjoy while spending time in your hotel room or driving about town.

A few important things to remember:

The ceremony begins at 3:00 pm on Saturday. The church is about ½ hour drive from the hotel. After the ceremony, feel free to return to your hotel room to freshen up or even rest. Then come down to Super’s Café in the lobby to join the parents of the bride and groom for snacks and refreshments.

The cocktail hour at the North Ritz Club will begin at 7:30 pm on Saturday. A shuttle service will be provided from the hotel to the venue beginning at 6:15 pm. Please arrive with enough time since several trips will be needed to take everyone staying here to the reception. We urge you to use the shuttle to be safe, and don’t drink and drive!!! In addition, the shuttle will offer return trips at the end of the evening beginning at 12:00 am.

Don’t want the party to end right away? No worries! We’ve arranged for the hotel to keep the bar open after hours so we can come back and wind down. The bar in Super’s Café will be open until 4:00 am. Come on down to spend some personal time with the bride and groom and their families. Cocktails and refreshments will be available at the bar if you choose.

Finally, we’d love to say goodbye to you on Sunday morning at brunch. Located downstairs in the Sag Harbor room, a complimentary brunch will be held from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. So pack your belongings up, check out, and come join us for one last meal before you head home!

Whatever you choose to do while you’re here, we hope you have a great time, and we can’t wait to see you on Saturday!

Love,
Michael and Laura

Re: Out of Town Baskets

Here's what we ended up putting...we finished them yesterday!

Welcome! We’re so excited and grateful that you’re
able to share in our special day. Please enjoy the
goodies in this bag. They’re just a small token of our
appreciation.

Our ceremony begins at 3:00 at St. Francis de Sales
Church. It’s about a 30 minute drive from the hotel.
After the ceremony, feel free to relax at the hotel or
explore the area. Shuttle service from the Hampton
Inn to the Sandcastle will begin at 6:15. Please arrive
with enough time, since we will have to make several
trips to accommodate all of our guests staying at
the hotel. If you arrive at the Sandcastle before the
cocktail hour begins, make your way to the hospitality
room and grab some hors d’oeuvres and a drink. After
you’ve partied the night away, the shuttle will be
waiting to take you back to the Hampton Inn beginning
at 1:00.

We’d love to say goodbye on Sunday. Please join us for
breakfast in the conference room any time between
9:00 and 12:00.

We hope you have an amazing time this
weekend, and can’t wait to celebrate with you!

I stole it from a bunch of LIW girls (including Laura's above ) and added our own stuff
