Out of town bride looking for photographer help

Hi everyone! I was so excited to find this site- there is so much great information here!

I'm looking for some photographer recommendations. We're getting married next August at the Swan Club in Roslyn (I'm from Long Island), but we're living in Vermont right now and planning everything remotely. I don't even know where to start with narrowing down the field for photographers! Our photographer budget is $2k to $4k, we don't need video, and we'd like to be able to download all of the photos as part of the package. I've heard that it's really important to connect with your photographer. Can anyone recommend a photographer whose work you really liked, but who you also liked personally and enjoyed spending time with during your wedding?

Check out Park avenue studios in sayville. Prices are listed on website. We made an instant connection with Brian. We met him at an expo and made an appointment almost a month later and he remembered who we were.

Timexposures is great ! They don't gather by the hour. They are with u all day- 2 photographers and asst is 2500

idk how much they are or what they r like even bc I went with an all inclusive package so I didn't get to look into them but if I didn't the firstplace I would have called is lighthouse in port Jefferson!

So funny- I had never heard of Lighthouse Photography before three people mentioned it here, and tonight someone I know just posted his wedding video on Facebook, and it was done by Lighthouse! It was an amazing video, really well done and touching and captured the couple so well. We'll definitely check them out!

Just had my wedding this past Friday and used lighthouse. They were AMAZING. My teasers are on their fb page. I couldn't have asked for anything better.
