Out of town guest gifts

Hi ladies:
Well, big day coming up soon and tweaking the little details. Two things left to do are the bathroom baskets and the OOT gift hotel bags. First is easy -- will get some toiletries and place but I am curious what everyone is doing for the second. The great majority of our guests are local and we are throwing a rehearsal dinner (even though there will be no rehearsal) the night before for the OOT guests. Not quite sure what to do for them gift wise so I am wondering what all of you are doing for ideas.

You can have the hotel leave them bags in their rooms. You can fill them with cookies/chips, bottled water, brochures of some local things they may want to check out, disposable camera (that they don't need to return to you), a newspaper, etc... whatever they may need to keep themselves entertained.

I thinka abotle of wine is a good idea, maps and brochures. Maybe LI themed stuff, stuff you cna only get in NY. Like LI wine, and bagels and bialys (you'd be amazed at how much OOT people can go for this stuff), Maybe small bottles a glass and a recipe for Long island Iced Tea, if you want to get creative. I like the disposable camera idea too. I also gave another bride the idea to circle on a map the palces significant to you - where u met, had ur first dat, got engaged, etc...so it tells your story. So I like either a love theme, or the LI theme as I first described. I might do that, but any OOT guests I have will be originally from NY, so I'm not sure what I'll do.
