Re: out of town guest transportation?

We were going to b/c FMIL was pushing for it, but then we opted not to. People will have some type of transportation be it a rental car or their own car. Don't worry

Re: out of town guest transportation?

You don't have to but, it's a nice gesture to provide transportation from the hotel to the reception.

Re: out of town guest transportation?

It is definitely not a requirement. Most people will realize that they will have to get a rental car. We are getting a shuttle from the hotel to the reception, but my dad is the one footing that bill!!!

Re: out of town guest transportation?

It's a nice gesture but not necessary. I left it up to FH's parents since it's mostly their guests that are OOTers. Coming from PA, they've never seen or heard of such a thing (nor have their friends and family) so they don't think it's necessary. So I decided to save the money. If they are gonna make the trip to LI, they will find a way to the reception!

We do have a trolley for the BP to get everywhere, including back to the hotel after all the festivities. If anyone else is unable to drive after the reception they will be more than welcome to hop on.

Re: out of town guest transportation?

Thanks for your advice everyone. I agree that it's not a requirement...a nice gesture for sure...if we could do it we would but at this point I don't thinkit's going to happen...kind of have to choose ya know...thanks again.

Re: out of town guest transportation?

Definately not necessary. But it does depend on how far away your hotel is from your reception hall too. You don't want people getting lost.

Re: out of town guest transportation?

it's not far at all...from the hotel to the church...maybe 15 min...then from church to reception place...another 15 minutes...

Re: out of town guest transportation?

All of my family is OOT so we are having. Check with your limo company to see if they have a van. I got quotes for a bus and the best price I found was $675 for one 8 mile trip from the RH to the hotel. Limo company is providing a 14 passenger van that will make 2 or 3 trips for $180... Plus, they said if the Excursion Limos we are using to get to the wedding (14 passenger) are available, they will send them instead of the van!

Let me know if you want their info!

Good Luck

Re: out of town guest transportation?

We arent. Some of my college roomates requested that we do because they want to drink...however, IMO I think that we are old enough to designate a driver. Its not worth the $800+
