out of town guests

what are good hotels in Nassau County around Mineola/Westbury/Garden city area for out of town guests? I will have tons of oot guests. I don't want to put them in like a motor lodge type place, a decent place. that have good rates. is the Wingate Inn good? I read about that in a few reviews.

I other day I got mail from the Holiday Inn on Old Country Road, a couple of blocks away from the mall. They sent me a brochure because my RH is very close to there and its looks decent. YOu may want to check it out.

The service was great, the hotel is only 3 years old and it's very nice. They gave us the same rates as the others in the area be we liked it the best.

Regualr $149 but with the block I think we got $129 for a king and $119 for a junior. (don't quote me but I'm pretty sure that was it)

We are still deciding either Marriot in Uniondale $159/night or Wingate which is 139/night. I heard the Garden City Hotel was great but expensive.. have not called them yet.

Anyone ever notice that for such a huge area, there is a major shortage of hotels?? Not counting motor lodges!!
