outdoor ceremonies

outdoor ceremonies

Are any of you planning outdoor ceremonies? If so, what arrangements are you making in case of inclement weather? Any suggestions of florists who are known for providing decorations that can work both inside and outside to cut costs?

Thanks!

Re: outdoor ceremonies

Welcome to the boards!

I am not planning an outdoor ceremony but I went to an outdoor wedding once and they had a tent - but it POURED that day (had been a rainy season) and the grass under the tent was so saturated with water from all the rain, that the rain came UP through the ground. So the tent kept our heads dry but the ground was soppy wet and our open toed shoes got ruined!

Even though the chance of cats-and-dogs style rain is low and a tent is usually a safe bet, you may want to look into an indoor option at Lands End as a backup.

We had our ceremony at the village park in Northport but had a tent at our home in case of rain ...

It was one of the few thtings that totally stressed me but luckily we had a beautful day!
