outdoor ceremony

outdoor ceremony

I've seen ideas thrown out to girls who want an outdoor ceremony in parks, beaches, etc that are not part of their RH.

My question to those of you who are doing that, do these places have indoor ceremony areas in case of rain?

I was looking at the old westbury gardens and didn't see anything about inclement weather so what would your backup plan be?

In our venue and many others that have a separate space for cocktail hour, you would have the ceremony in the main ballroom, then move to the space for cocktail hour, and the main ballroom would be prepared for reception while guests are at cocktail hour.

This is what my hall is doing for no rain though!

We got married the day Hurricane Earl was supposed to hit. Thankfully we just got some rain but we did have to move it indoors.

Flowerfield has a huge area indoors for the cocktail area. They arranged the ceremony there and the turnover from ceremony to cocktail hr was literally minutes. By the time my guests got the food on the other side of the room they said they turned around and all the chairs from the ceremony was gone! LOVE FF :)

I think they all have an option just in case.

ETA: No rain for you
