Our church is in Nassau (Floral Park) and the reception is in Suffolk (East Northport) so we will pass many of these (or close to it). We have over 2 hours between ceremony and cocktail hour.
Also, any other suggestions would be great

Re: Outdoor Photo Locations
Jenn, I cannot wait to see your pics. I like the planting fields idea, and my photographer loves Westbury Gardens. I am just worried about dragging my whole wedding party around if its really hot the day of the wedding (8/30), and I heard that Westbury Gardens is huge.
Jenny, the reception is at Larkfield Manor. They have some places to take pics, but I would like a really nice background if we can get it.

Re: Outdoor Photo Locations
What I did was take the bridal party first and sent them on to the hall, then hubby and I lugged around the garden by ourselves.

Re: Outdoor Photo Locations
I am dropping this off here so I can find it again:
We did ours at Clark Botanical Gardens in Albertson and loved the grounds there. I highly recommend it!

I am having my pics done at the Vanderbilt in Centerport! I'll let you know how it goes. I can say that it was highly recommended by friends that had theirs done there too. They loved it. It has so many beautiful backgrounds for pics!

Re: Outdoor Photo Locations
I actually got engaged at the Roslyn Duck Pond. It is nice. Obviously, it does not have the same grand feel as some of the others. I did not even think of it as an option, but now I may consider it.
