Re: Outdoor Weddings
I went to an outdoor wedding and the one thing I didn't like was where the beverage area was. Bc it was outside and on the grass a puddle of mud formed from the ice/drinks/people spilling, etc. I would consider doing some type of floor near the bar area to prevent this if possible.

Wow! Thanks for answering and i can see this happening- Im sure the tent people can make a mini floor, I was also thinking of having it on the deck... we will see.
Otherwise, how was that wedding??

Re: Outdoor Weddings
The deck is probably your best bet since any excess liquid will not puddle on the floor.
Otherwise, the wedding was great!! It was my cousins' in Maine, outside on a huge piece of property and there were horses running in the background. Very pretty!
Best of luck! Where are you hosting it?

Outdoor Weddings
I went to an outdoor wedding in the hamptons...it was by far one of the best! The band, dance floor, and dinner were all under the tent...The cocktail hour was outside the tent around the pool...The bride and groom rented the house for the week...that was their gift to the bp.

Re: Outdoor Weddings
I went to a tented outdoor wedding off the bay in MD on an old historic plantation. I was gorgeous!I, like many other guests, was wearing heels - but the had a flip-flop basket. Also, they rented one of those trailer style bathroom houses. You can't have your guest going in a port-a-potty. The only major problem is that it rained, I mean MONSOONED, during dinner. From where I was sitting I was fine, but the table my parents were at was getting some under spray even through the tent was closed. Always take into consideration the weather. Our EParty was in my parents backyard - on the day of Hurricane Danny, and our ceremony was moved inside on our wedding day courtesy of Hurricane Earl.

Re: Outdoor Weddings
My uncle had his wedding outdoors at the family summer house in the hamptons and it was great. just make sure you have a big enough dance floor for your guest that would probably be my only complaint

This scares me too, im having a 16x16, and then a 20x20
The guy is telling me it will be fine, and id LOVE a 20x30 but u have no idea how much these floors cost. If you ever find out the size LMK!!
