Outer Envelopes??

How should they be addressed for a family?

Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Stein
Charlie and Allie Stein

OR

Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Stein and family

Is that right?? Verseit.com does not tell me how to do it..

Also- on this above and one other-- the children are in the wedding party.. so 'and family' may not work??

We did ours:

Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Stein

Inside envelope is where we listed everybody invited within the household.

Etiquette book:
Outer envelope is just parents names.
If under 18 inner envelope is the first names of the children, oldest to youngest. If over 18 and living in the same household then they should still get their own invitation.

Ok-- we don't have inner envelopes-- they did not go with our invites and our invitation person did not recommend them for our invite style.

What book do you have? I need to get it.

We did not have inner envelopes with our invitations. We invited DH's cousins with their children. We ended up putting 'and family' on many of the invites because we didn't have the names.

My mom looked on-line. It said to do it the way:

Mr. and Mrs. James Smith
(indent) Josephine and Michael (children's names)

Invitations and the guest list were my least favorite part. Good luck

Then, if they are in the wedding party, I would send them each their own. Outer envelope to reflect status...Mr. James Johnson and Miss. Jennifer Harold.

The thing that my mom read also said that if the children were over 18, you could send them one invitation with all their names listed. In this case I think that you could include the 17 and 21 year old on one invite. (17 is close enough)

I agree with you on etiquette Thiadora, but I figure that a 17 y old in a wedding party will get such a huge kick out of their own invite that if Randi has them to spare, worth doing.

I was thinking of doing this-- but all these extra invitations that are added up-- I am afraid we won't have enough. We counted 129-- and have 150.. we are getting the address list now-- so, I think that will help to clear stuff up.

Yeah- I would put brother and sis on their own invite.. same thing with two other brothers.. that's now two extra.. oy.. I can feel the stress already!!!

Exactly

We used brown ink on our envelopes. The color went with the invites and it was fall. Etiquette said no brown. We didn't listen.

These were my invites below. You can see how brown would be nice.

Thanks. They're beautiful. Very elegant. And I love your programs too. I love seeing how you are incorporating sage into all of the aspects of your wedding.

I wish I had photographs of my programs. I created the format. My sister created the design and layout. I told her I wanted to follow the UNITE theme of the invite. She did an amazing job.

It's funny- but yes- there will be green at the wedding- probably everywhere except the ballroom now that I think aboit it. I just really wanted to keep all the wedding stationary as consistent possible.. considering they are coming from all different sources. I actually kinda like that the ballroom will be a little different- yeah, I like that!!

I have some extra programs. (My sister knows the printer and I would also get more, if I needed too.) They're just hard to photograph. It's a book style (both sides of the pages), and it was a little long. I'll see what the photographer came up with.
