What name(s) and return address did or will you guys put on your outer envelopes? FH and I are really confused as to what the common etiquette is for this. Do we put 'Mr & Mrs X' or the 'X Family' . . . even though we are not married yet? Or do we just put both of our first and last names (which we feel seems kind of long)?

I didn't put any names......just my home address (which matches the address that the response cards are being returned to).

I would say definitely do not put Mr. and Mrs. X before you are married. I have 2 suggestions. The first is what FH and I did which is to put Mr. (his name) and Ms. (my name) and our address. or maybe 'The Future Mr. and Mrs. X'

i think no names and the address is a good way to go. if we put a name it would be my parents b/c they are hosting the wedding and our rsvp's would go there.

My return adress is on the outer envelope without a name. The RSVP cards are boing sent to me.

i used my parents names and address, but sme people will put just one name (usually the bride's), and i even had one friend just put
Smith/Jones 123 Johnson St. NY, NY 10001

We just put our first names on the lip of the seal with our address for the outer envelope of the invite. This was also done on the RSVP envelope as well but the name and address on the front.
