Going to a graduation tonight and the weather forecast is questionable. I was thinking of wearing a fitted jean jacket with a knee length black skirt and sandals. Do you think a jean jacket is ok for a graduation? Not dressy enough? Are graduations even dressy?

What kind of graduation is it? college? I think graduations are usually pretty dressy, even if they're outdoors.

No one dressed up for either of my graduations from college or grad school. I might dress a little fancier if there is going to be a dinner/luncheon afterwards.

Thanks girls...I decided to wear something else (white skirt with a black shirt). I wish I could just wear jeans!

It snowed on my college graduation in Rochester, NY (yes, in May!!) So I wasn't dressed up, and I know a bunch of other people weren't either. I think it is fine, especially if you are wearing a skirt.
