I'm considering having my CH outside at Crest hollow. What are your thoughts? Is it a pain? Is it better inside? Does anyone know how much it costs if it's extra?

Re: outside cocktail hour
I've never seen one outside, but in case you don't end up doing it, my school does the dinner dance fundraiser every year at Cresthollow. The CH is always inside and its beautiful.

The outside is the best part imo. I was just there tonight for their bridal show, I am in love with their backyard property.

The outdoor cocktail hour there is gorgeous, but April can be hit or miss. Make sure you have an agreement in your contract that would won't have to pay extra if it ends up indoors!!!

That's a lot! But from the pics I've seen could very well be worth it!
Can you change it to indoor due to weather without being charged the extra?
I think outdoor cocktail hours are awesome if the weather permits! I'm hoping its semi-warm for mine as Land's End has a covered deck and are putting space heaters out there, so I hope my guests will take advantage!

If the weather looks good for the day of, I would def. do an outdoor CH. We had ours outdoors (thank you weather gods!) and absolutely love it. They did serve the food inside but left the doors open for guests to go out if they wanted and lots did. People were saying how nice it was to be able to sit outside and eat and just take in the view. We also had a steel drummer for the CH which just added to the whole feel.

Re: outside cocktail hour
there is the extra charge that you saw, however if it does rain you get it back. We booked ours outside and he said if you decide even that morning to not have it outside they will refund it but we really wanted it outside. so we booked it.
If your thinking about it and considering it I would call and see if you can. Better off booking it now and changing your mind later then deciding later and it not being available.

Yes it is a lot, I dont think i have to pay if they do it indoors.
Just wondering, what is the reason they gave you for charging so much more for an outdoor CH? Are they at least giving you extra food?

the view right there is the best! My friends aunt lives a few doors down from there. It's so pretty! FH and I were looking into getting married at the Marina across the way.

They said they just did a major renovation in the pool area, so they have to increase their prices. And it requires more work to have the food ouside...

I know Im in November so they prob think I'd say no (which I will bc I dont wanna worry abt rain or cold weather) but CH told me I could call them up to the day before and change my cocktail hour to the outside pool area free of charge-- so that's BS abt the pool renovations lol sorry
