Hoooray this weekend is going to be BEAUTIFUL!!! I have my cocktail hour at night though when it's already dark and it gets kind of chilly still. Should I still have cocktails outside? They do have heaters they put outside and most people I talk to tell me they'd like to be outside and I told people to bring shawls, etc. I dunno, what would you do? If it was during the day it would be a no brainer but since it's around 8pm I don't know.

Outside Cocktails?
Well Let me tell you, if it's 60-70 degrees in the afternoon. I think you may want to go inside. It gets really cold. But I'm a chicken, I hate the cold climate.... At the end of the day it's your call! Who is your MD?

Outside Cocktails?
Personally I would not have it outside. Even with a jacket or shawl, my legs and feet will be cold. Once I get a chill I then get cranky. I know you mentioned heaters and all I picture is people huddling around them. If you have an older crowd they will probably be miserable.
Have a great wedding. Congratulations!

It does get chilly! But my crowd is really not older so that's why I don't know.

What do you want? If you are attending your cocktail hour, will you have a shawl or even want to wear it?

Outside Cocktails?
Is there still an option for people to go inside? Personally, I'm not sure if I would do it outside. It's really only going to be in the 50s at night. Anyway, congrats and good luck with everything!!

I really do love the inside area which is why I'm torn. I think there are doors leading to outside so actually I am going to ask them if they can put it inside but open the doors to the outside for anyone who wants to step outside.

I think this is a perfect plan. And, it's called cocktail hour for a reason- a few cocktails and no one will notice the cold anymore!
