Over the fence

Good afternoon, ladies!!!! I'm waiting for Debi to come get the presents I wrapped for her Company Christmas Party tonight; I wrapped about 23. She's in charge of games. I was thinking about how gals say LIW is addictive. My feeling is it's fulfilling a need we have like women of yesteryear, to chat over the fence; Nowdays, as we lead such busy lives, being far apart even from family, being on LIW, puts us in touch with each other, helping us not to feel so isolated. Re: Over the fence

Hi Mary........yes....this site is great for lots of things.....especially goin on and on about your child's wedding plans....so you don't drive your friends totally crazy by rambling on and on....
I think when you are in the wedding planning stage......we are all in the same place and look forward to the conversations.

Re: Over the fence

Hi Kathy!!
How was your day? How's the interior design business going? My Husband finally said I can have my wood laminate flooring, for the living room! Since he's a builder, he can lay it himself; He did a beautiful job on our neighbors house!
They got the wood laminate in their LR, DR, and FR. Now I have to think about what color I want. Then, my Husband told me we can also get our new sofa!! HOT DOG!!!!! I know I've eluded to things being financilly tight, but my Husband confuses me!! One minute, it's we can't afford that, the next minute, let's get new flooring and a sofa!! The flooring is a desire I've had. Didn't want carpet!! I think our Son and I would have fewer allergy issues with the laminate. I don't know why my Husband had been so dead set agaist laminate. He said my feet will be cold!! As far as getting a sofa, that's awesome too, since we had gotten rid of our sofa to accomodate my Mom's furniture when she moved in with us , until her name came up at the Seniors Dev., and she and her furniture left us. The problem is I was holding out for new floor covering BEFORE getting a new sofa. Ok, I'm going to reveal something here.... the only things in our LR, that we've had to sit on are an old comfy green chair, an outdoor chaise lounge, and some 1970 World Book Encyclopedias, if we need extra seating!! Ok, maybe not the Encyclopedias. My Husband's getting tired of the chaise lounge!! Mary
