is there such a thing??... we orginally wanted to got o FP, but FI doesnt think he can do a 20 or so hour flight.....

i'd double check this, but i believe the flight to hawaii is about the same length as FP. They are equidistinat to each other as I understand it -- Hawaii is north of the equator and FP is south. So Hawaii might be too long of a flight for FH, too.

no, hawaii doesn't have over water bungalows except in one hotel...it's called a village...and at the moment I can't remember the island it is one...urgh...but they have no air conditioning, no tv, no radio, and it is not on the ocean, I think it is over a river in the forest...
if I find it, i'll let you know.

We are going to Tahiti...and they Over Water Bungalows. The flight is 14 hours....and I heard they keep you very busy with movies....so the time does go by. Take a look at Tahiti.

hi--- we went to french polynesia for our HM. it took only 13 hrs. direct flight from JFK airport to papeete (capital of tahiti). it wasn't bad--- not too many people on the flight, so we were able to sleep on the chairs in the middle aisle lying across.

Remember the ' meet the barkers' episode when they went on vacation to hawaii and he lost the kew to their over water bunglaow, so he had to jump over to the next bungalow to get into theirs…????....or was that not in hawaii!?!?

No problem.. HI doesnt ahve Overwater Bungalows but they ahve alot of other beautiful places you can stay at. But also I do beelvie the travel is not much of a difference so you may want to prepare your FH if your are planning on HI. You can do what I did, I lied and said ti was 6 hrs to FP.. than after booking I said oopsie, I forgot the time difference.

We just came back from Hawaii and flew direct out of Newark (only airport that offers direct). On the way there it was 10 hours on the way home it was 8 hrs 45 min.
