Overlooked/obscure great books...
Historical fiction: Jean Plaidy (she was out of print for ages but they just began reprinting her). Amazing, simple but insightful looks into the lives of royalty
Young adult books: The Samurai Series by Lensey Namioka (featuring Zenta and Matuzo) Unfortunetly, these are out of print. I got my fiance the entire collection (7 or so) from ebay for my FH b-day. They are really fun novels about feudal Japan.
Also, Where the Red Fern Grows
Mystery: all Agatha Christies
Any others?
