Overwater Bungalows and Motu Tahiti Questions

Regarding the overwater bungalows, I was wondering do they have stairs that extend onto the land? Or do you have to walk in the water or swim to get to the entrance to the bungalows?

With the motus, how do you get to the main island? Do the hotels have shuttle boats? How often and how late do they run?

Thank you.

The OWB are connected to the mainland by piers. The piers extend from land all the way out and lead to all of the OWB. You will never have to swim to her OWB unless you want to.

Almost every hotel that we saw in BB had a shuttle boat that took you from the motu to the mainland. I think they ran about every hour at the pearl. I think most shuttle boats stop running at about 9:30 or 10:00 - but don't worry about missing out on the night life in BB - there is none, and due to the jetlag you will nodding off by around 10:00 pm anyway.

We are standing on the pier in this picture. You can see how it leads you to the OWB.
