OVERWHELMED!!!

How do you go about picking a vendor? There are SO many of them...I don't even know where to start! Any suggestions?

Re: OVERWHELMED!!!

Just relax you have time don't worry .First off look into vendors that can work with whatever budget you want then check out their work on their website or call for a brochure and meet up with those that their work stands out to you. Once you have met with them then narrow it down such as who gave you the best price? Best work? Were they a nice person when you met them?

Re: OVERWHELMED!!!

first off breath lol..the first thing i did was compile a list of each vendor that i wanted to check out, and im taking each vendor one at a time..

i got the list by combining the rec. vendors from my rh with recs from girls on here (i.e. i would post a thread on what photographer everyone was using)

then i called each vendor to make sure they would fit in my budget, and if they did i made an appointment to talk with them in person

once i talked to them in person its really just been a matter of personality and style fitting with mine

finally, before i booked i would check reviews on here through the brides review and through the bbb

hth!!

Re: OVERWHELMED!!!

Congrats and welcome! You have PLENTY of time. Def do one vendor at a time depending on the importance. For example I booked hall, church, band, photo/video, limo in this order.Def use this website bc it really is AMAZING!! Ask questions about anything and within seconds people answer.

Re: OVERWHELMED!!!

Also, don't feel you have to have the same vendors that are always on here. Ask your RH for recommendations and then see if you are comfortable with them. I think it helps to go to shows at places that aren't even your RH to get some ideas too. If you have any questions...always feel free to ask. I'm about 6 and a half months from my wedding and I'm happy to give feedback so far. Definitely ask questions on here, but also don't be afraid if you don't have all 'LIW' vendors. It's intimidating at first, but fun once you get started.
