Overwhelmed

Overwhelmed

I don't even know what to say. I'm just so overwhelmed. I'm a month out from my wedding and I'm moving to NY from CA the week before or wedding and I still have all these things to do.

FH calls me and says that all these people are asking if it's a formal event and if they should were their dress blues and they don't know about registries or even that they are supposed to get us a gift. Granted most of our guests are single, military men, but come on! The Invite was formal and we are getting married ON a military base, so why would you think you wouldn't wear your dress uniform? And you don't know you are expected to bring a gift to a wedding?!? Where have you been?!? So now we have to be all tacky and send out a card that tells them where we are registered and to wear formal dress (dress blues if applicable). It's not just this of course.. this is just a small thing of many... but UGHHH

::::HUGS::::

I'm so sorry you're stressed and going through all this extra stuff when you already have so much to deal with!!!

If there's any way we can help (or specifically, I can help) let me know!

I'm working on my move from NY to NC while doing all the planning as well so I do understand some of what you're going through.

As far as letting people know to wear their dress blues, do you think FH could give people a call, or would it just be easier to print some very simple post-cards as reminders / information cards? At least post cards would be less expensive too. You could keep it very simple but make sure they get the info.

You'll get through this with flying colors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Overwhelmed

Thank you so much for the encouragement.

I just found out FH's step brother is ditching our wedding for guard duty (military) that he can get out of if we asks for pass. I know he can because FH was in the nat'l guard before he joined the Army active duty. His step brother just says he wants the extra money. So with Fh's mom and step bro not coming I'm crushed.

First to a place near Schnetedy (spelling?), then we are actually moving to OK for 6 weeks, then to GA for 4 months, and then we are moving back to NY to Fort Drum, up near the Canadian border.

eta: it took all the strength I had not to drink the wine in my fridge at lunch... would've made me feel better though

Re: Overwhelmed

I know it's overwhelming, but just try to take it one day at a time. I wish I could be more helpful, but my brain is fried today lol. Hang in there
