Re: OVERWHELMED- NEED ADVICE BADLY!!! (LINK TO BHB)
I think you should tell her that it is too much for you at the time (which is the truth). Now on the other hand, I would be hurt if I was being your BM and you wouldn't agree to be mine. BUT.....she did jerk it around a lot with the date and location, so I feel you have the right to say no.
This is a tough one! Keep us posted.

I have to also add something . . . I feel like we probably would not be friends anymore if we weren't in eachother's weddings . . . I feel like it is the only thing holding our friendship together . . . . Does this make sense?

If the weddings (being in each others),are the only thing holding the friendship together, isn't there a good chance it will fall apart after the weddings anyway?

bri this really sucks....i don't know what to tell you!!
is it too late to back out for financial reasons? It just seems like a lot to deal with....
AND BY THE WAY! Ray and I will be getting a puppy right after the wedding, so if it's any consolation, we'll puppysit free of charge!!! They can be friends!
Lots of for you!

I know exactly how you feel Bri. A friend of mine is getting married two months before us and asked me to be in her bridal party (she is in mine). I am really worried about having money to pay for all of the stuff involved with being in the bridal party especially considering I have to lay out thousands of dollars about a month later for my own wedding. It is going to be a huge financial strain but I didn't feel like I could say no... I really don't know what to say other than that I know how you feel!

I think you should be a BM in her wedding but you should feel no obligation to go to her shower, bachlorette, etc. I have 3 OOT BMs, all from Rochester and before I asked them to be in it I thought long and hard, and wrote them all very long letters stating that I would completely understand if they didnt want to be in it and if they do decide to be in it, I would never expect them to come to the other festivities. I know you said she wants you to be there but guess what we all want things that we dont get! Its all about compromise.
