OVERWHELMED with LIW's over 21 pages on Tahiti....can we simplify it?

Can the girls who have booked &/or already been help make a list of their tops choices?

If you get time you reallky should look through it. Most of our itineraries are in the first few pages... it's a great thread if you're really looking into tahiti! Also, a lot of us are going in June/July so there will be lots of reviews after that.

As for hotels, we're staying at the pearl resorts on moorea and bora bora (www.pearlresorts.com) !! They are beautiful hotels at a great price. Most girls are staying at the new Bora Bora Thalasso (just opened May of '06!) but we decided to stick w/ the pearl resorts since we would be there only 1 month after opening. When booking back in Oct we didn't want to risk it not being done in time. I would look into both and if you have a larger budget you can look into the Hotel Bora Bora, Bora Bora Nui or the new St. Regis.

Excursions we're doing:
Bora Bora = helmet dive, parasailing, jet skiing, shark/ray feeding
Moorea = 4x4 tour or renting our own buggy, snorkeling, maybe sunset cruise

I agree with Camacho...don't let the FP thread overwhelm you....there is much useful info in there....that thread helped me plan my honeymoon there and decide which hotels I wanted, etc....
You should def. take the time to look thru it.

I'm doing:

1nt. Tahiti Intercontinental garden room
2 nts. Moorea Pearl - garden bungalow with pool
5 nts. Bora Bora IC Thalasso - OWB
2 nts. Le Taha'a Private Resort - beach bungalow with pool

Haven't decided on any excursions yet...probably won't plan any ahead of time. We are big into relaxing on our vacations and will just probably decide when we are there - what we feel like doing if anything.

The Pearl Resorts seem really nice and get great reviews. The one in Moorea is in a great location to restaurants, etc.
You have a ton of hotel choices on Bora Bora...if you're torn on which to choose post it and we'll all give you some feedback since we all did plenty of research before deciding what we wanted.

Good Luck....let me know if you need a travel agent. Mine was great and I really priced around and her quotes always came in the lowest!
