Ovulation kits - do they work??

Hi ladies! I have not been on this site for over a year (since I was married!) but I'm back and need help, please! We're trying to conceive and I'm freaking out b/c I just started using First Response ovu kit and according to my 3rd day of testing, I'm not ovulating yet!! When paying attention to my body, it seems that I am ovulating, but the kit tells me otherwise! Has anyone had a similar experience with the kits? Thanks!

Re: Ovulation kits - do they work??

I started with internet cheapies and now I have the Clear Blue Easy Fertlity Monitor but thats just because it is easier. Ok now for some pointers. Sorry if it's TMI but Make sure you hold your pee for at least 3-4 hours and try not to drink alot during that time. If it is too dilluted yoou will miss the surge. Also in th beginning try testing at lunch and again at night. Hence the reason I use the cheap ones. If you still can't get a + then try switching brands and if that doesn't work ask you doctor for blood tests to check that yoy do ovulate. Rmember not all women ovuate at cd 14. Good luck
