Ovulation Predictor Kits...

I think I know when I'm most fertile, but I'd really like to try an Ovulation predictor kit just for an extra backup. Can anyone recommend one? One that's not too expensive? I've seen that there are ones you use once, what about more than once? It can get pretty expensive having to buy more and more. Thanks!

Hi Melissa,
I used OPKs and they worked! I started out with a pack from the store, can't remember which one. Then, I ordered the strips, which you dip into a cup, online at testsforless.com. I bought a bunch and the package included some HPTs, which were also strips. They are cheaper b/c they are just strips. You can also check out saveontests.com

The OPKs are sticks and they usually give you about 5. You use each one once.

Fertility Monitors are the devices that can be used over and over and are more expensive, although buying OPKs every month also gets quite expensive. The monitors are like $200. Plus the cost of the test strips.

Try a pack of OPKs first and see how it works your first cycle TTC. Then you can decide to invest some more money if you need too.

You can also chart your temperatures and other signs which is relatively no cost -- except for the BBT (Basal Body Temperature) Thermometer.
