Ovulation Question

Can you not ovulate and still get AF? I have been using an ovulation kit for the past 2 months now and my levels go up but no ovulation but I get my period very regularly every month. I'm going to the docs in Oct. but just wondered if any of you experienced this?

Thanks : ).

Re: Ovulation Question

Yes. You should talk to your dr about this. There is a book called 'Taking Charge of Your Fertility' that talks about things like this. I've also heard that its very common to not ovulate one or two months every now and then but if its every month, the dr should be able to help.

Thanks Sue : ). I bought that book months ago. Its a must have. Maybe I'll just make my doctors appointment sooner.

Your welcome! Good luck! You could also try taking your temp first thing in the morning everyday. That will also tell you if you are ovulating. Make a chart and then you can show the dr.
Can you tell I read the book?

Re: Ovulation Question

Yes, was Sue said was correct. You would not actually be getting an AF per say, but having anovulatory bleeding. If you do ovulate, you get AF unless you are pregnant.

I still never understand how you could get an AF without ovulating, but it's possible.
