OW!!! My poor foot!!

Last night I was putting towels away in the linen closet. We keep a fire extinguisher on the wall in the closet for emergencies. Well, over the years I guess it came loose, and when I brushed against it with my stack of towels last night, it came CRASHING down right onto my bare foot!!!

My poor little 'ring finger' toe is black and blue, even underneath the toe. The top part of my foot is turning black and blue too! I can hardly walk on it. And it's my right foot, so driving is out of the question right now.

Thankfully I can wiggle all my toes, and move them around, even if the bruised one is painful. So I don't think it's broken. But OWWWW!!!!!!!

I might still get it checked out...you may have a hiarline fracture...:

I was thinking the same thing, except they don't do anything for a fractured, or even a broken toe. So unless I really can't walk on it at all, or it gets worse over the next few days, I don't think I'll go to the doctor.

You are right they really don't do too much for a broken toe. You can tape it too the others and stay off of it as much as you can!

owwww!! how painful - nothingf is worse than a broken toe - (although i was lucky enough to hjave never broken a bone in my life until then!) i broke mine last year after fh's mom passed away - i kinda walked into a wooden table leg and heard it crack....was out of it and just thought i got aorudn it - how i don't know!....the only thing i can suggest is taping it to one or two other in the meantime - it hurts less this way and will grow back striaght.....

ps - in case you didn't know, like i didn't, it takes more than a few days to heal so don't be as stupid as i was and stop taping it after a few days - i thought mine had healed and well, you guessed it, its more painful the second time around!
