I am looking into having my photos taken here before my church. My family thinks it's to out ofthe way & we may hit to much traffic since my wedding is on a Friday evening. They think I should find someplace east. Does anyone know how far offthe LIE the Arboretum is & do you think I'll hit alot of traffic at 5:00 going to Dix Hills? Also, does anyone have wedding photos I can see from the Arboretum? Thanks for all your help!

If you take the LIE to exit 41 (106/107) it is definately at least 15 minutes from there without traffic. My wedding was on a Saturday afternoon so traffic wasn't a problem. If you are planning to do your pic beforehand, start taking pic at least 30-45 minutes before you originally wanted so if you get caught in any traffic you still have time. You will definately hit traffic though. It isn't totally out of the way so do whatever you want to do. I took pics there with just me and him. All the other pics with bridal party and parents are at the Crest Hollow.
Your pics were beautiful! I was maid of honor at my best friend's wedding at Crest Hollow and I remember taking pics by the gazebo. Only it was April 28th and we were FREEZING! You looked beautiful
