anyone try it? I have copies of hte DVD's and was probably going to start it this week or next week.
how heavy were the dumbbells you used? and what'd you do for the chin up bar? where'd you put one?? or how did you substitute for it?
Edit - Most important of all - did you see results?!?!?

'12er crashing
FH was doing it and the results were great but he got a little lazy after Thanksgiving. I think he's going to start up again after Christmas but it's a pretty extreme workout.

Re: p90X
i'm doing it!! i'm on week 8 this week and yes!!! - i do see results. I kinda wish that I measured myself when i started but it's def visible results. My friends/old coworkers and even FH are telling me that it looks like i've lost weight! I've also lost weight! WOOOO!!!
i dont follow their diet b/c i'm not down with that! I love to eat so i just do it in moderation - but the workout's intense!
i vary with weights between 5-8 lbs.
good luck if you start it!!

Crashing.... I've been doing it since Oct and I love it!
I lost about 8 pounds but went down a pant size which is awesome because I needed new jeans anyway! I followed it religiously for the first 2 months, then fell out bc of traveilng and am finishing up the last bit this month.
In January I'm running it again at the gym for people to do with me and I already have a bunch of people signed up to join.
After the 2nd round is finished I should be ready for my B-pics :)

Re: p90X
Oh and as far as the weights go... I started with 6 pound weights but it works best to have a few different types because your muscles will react differently. Some moves I use 7's, others I worked up to 8's& 9's.
I can't do chin-ups, so what we use are resistance bands. The trick is to go further away from where its locked onto so it mimics a pull-up (they show you on the video) so I recommend a medium or heavy strength reisistance band.

Re: p90X
I did it with FH about a year ago. We tried to do the diet AND the fitness plan. Honestly, I stopped the diet like 2 days in because I was always STARVING. They base the diet on your weight, and I'm light, but I eat like a frigging animal. So I was pretty much starving myself which wasn't cool.
But when I did just the fitness and tried to eat healthy, I definitely saw results! I lost lots of inches (not as many lbs but I was doing it to tone). I felt like my muscles were awesome! I substituted the weights for a resistance band and that worked great. We got one of those over the door pullup bars too.

Re: p90X
oh that reminds me, one other thing I forgot, we were sore as hellllllll after the first couple of days so we said screw it and took our own day off and continued to do so. So we really worked out 5 days a week and did it at our own pace. If your body tells you something, listen to it or else you will hurt yourself and not be able to do anything
