Re: Pack your bags girls, we are going to Albany!!
If anyone is upset its me, Saturday I was volunteering at a transitional home for mothers and children and we were painting the place trying to brighten it up to make 'THEIR' living space brighter, you should hear some of the comments these ungreatful, on welfare for life, thinking someone owes them someting always with a hand out to take but never giving back. It boiled my blood so much. I said you all should be ashamed at the comments you are making, most of the volunteers with me, don't even live in Bklyn and here they are giving back to you. One boy about 15 said he does not do anything for free, why would we come there and paint for free. I was saddened and hurt all at the same time. It made me feel so sad to know this is what our future generation's thinking is like.
I will still do my part, I will not let them change who I am and what I do. Yes I work and support them and then do volunteer work, but that is how I was raised, people before me did for me and I must do for others. Fortunately its not always these kind of people that I give back to.
Yes you can be on welfare for life unfortunately. We all will pay for it. I will go to Albany/Washington wherever but it will not change a thing

Re: Pack your bags girls, we are going to Albany!!
I had an experience like this too in Bellport doing a Habitat for Humanity project. We were busting our asses in 90+ degree heat painting a steel shuttered house (no airflow, nothing) for eight hours and the new 'owner' came in, along with the contractors and had the nerve to 'complain' that we weren't painting good enough for her. I didn't see her doing squat. My friend and I got so ****ed, that after they walked out, we were taking the buckets of the cheap paint and just throwing it on the walls and smearing it around. It didn't make a difference how it looked, the paint was like water anyway. I swore I'd never do it again. I heard from friends who were lucky enough to work outside that she was complaining to them as well about the way they were putting up the fence. Hey lady, we're not paid contractors - I work in a **** office. You don't like how we're fixing up your free house - fix it yourself!!!!!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME??????????????
That's just ridiculous...but then again, if I understood this correctly, maybe it's a GOOD thing these people get their tubes tied!
After all...what's the point of them having children if they are gonna use MORE of OUR money to get welfare...or even worse abuse these poor children.
Sorry! I think it's a good idea. It's better than them having 50 abortions and us paying for all of that!!

Personally Id rather them have the abortions. this way it just stops the cycle of the kid getting on welfare, possible running into them when they are a degenerate. I know they all dont become slobs but hey who wants to wait for 17yrs tp find out.
Shamma we are leaving in October, should we go during the week, beginging or end?
Shamma I got a blow horn, think of a name for our group

During the week is best, we can all call in sick I think its working people agianst Free loaders, who stay at home and **** us dry while we struggle to put food on our own table and have to get up and go to jobs that some of us don't even enjoy, while you stay at home and watch tv that I paid for and wear name brand things that I can only dream of wearing, do you think that name too long

Shamma - you are a better peron than I- I would have walked out.
I always thought Habitat for Humanity made the new homeowners do work on the house as well. That is just nasty to have something so nice done for you by volunteers than complain.. It takes nerve!!
