Paging Chmlengr or any other Sans Souci brides

Hello - I just had a quick question for any of you guys. I'm getting married at the Sans Souci in about two and a half weeks. I know that there is a tip already included in the price for the maitre d but did you give them a tip on top of that the day of your wedding? Also, did you tip the manager (I forget her name right now)? Thanks so much for your help!

The $175 fee for the maitre d was added into our final payment so that we did not have to worry about money the day of. It actually worked out rather nice. We had Manuel and he was wonderful. However, we did not tip him anything additional, and when we look back on it, we think maybe we should have

We originally made all our plans through Lou, however he retired a few months before our wedding and Carol took over from there. We set our menu up with her and she helped us out a lot with table set-ups and such. We dropped off our favors, guest book, cake serving set, etc. a few days before and everything was set up as we had requested. But we didn't tip her either as we had only dealt with her for a few times just before our day.

They insisted the $175 was plenty, and that the 18% service charge covered all else, so we didn't tip the staff at Sans Souci anything else. But like I said, they were wonderful, everything was beautiful, exactly as we had wished, so maybe we should have? It's up to you....

BTW, we did not have a bridal attendant either. Our maitre d set us all up for intros and my MOH took care of doing my dress bustle, etc. The only tips we had our best man give out the day of was limo, band, photographer, priest, altar servers, organist, singer, florist delivery guy. I think I got it all covered!!

Thanks for the info! I figured that if I tipped additionally, it would just be if we thought the service was amazing. I don't think I will tip Carol - I also worked with Lou in the beginning and only did my menu with Carol.

I'm not getting married there until next August, but I wanted to say 'hi' and I actually was having the same question regarding tipping... I'm interested to know what you end up doing.

Hi there! We're getting married at Sans Souci on October 12th. We just met with Carol last week to go over our menu, etc. I didn't even think about tipping her. Thanks for bringing up the subject! Good Luck to you! I'm sure your day will be beautiful!
