Palm Court at the Carltun

Hi!
Just went this weekend to look at the Carltun and spoke with Caryn Rude (super nice)! She showed me the Palm Court for our reception (I emailed the website to my fiance b/c he is living in Buenos Aires). Question: did anyone go to a wedding at the Palm Court? If so, what was it like? Was there dancing (i'm worried about the tiles) and was the bar in the Palm Court open?

Also, would anyone have any other pictures of it so that I can show him better pictures than what is on the website!!

THANKS SO MUCH!!

Re: Palm Court at the Carltun

I just worked an event at the Carltun on Sunday night.

I don't think it was the Palm Court though.. i THINK it was in the actual hall with the separate enterance and the 2 rooms for cocktail.

Is the palm court the one with the long bar on the right hand side by the enterance w/the horse?

Not sure about the horse but it does have a long bar on the right hand side and it is located on the left of the main entrance.

hm... yeah that's where the restaurant usually is. Do you know if there's a reason why they didn't show you the room at the other enterance (the main entrance)

I think Caryn showed us the Palm Court b/c we are only having 80 ppl and it would be during the day (12:30-5:30). We really liked it however don't know how everyone will be able to dance on the tile floor...

Do you mind me asking what day of the week you're looking to have your wedding at the Palmcourt, Carltun? I'm booked for a Saturday from 11:00-4:00 including ceremony. I asked about staying after b/c I wanted to have some time to take pictures after the reception, but they said no becuase they start preparing for the resturant to open afterwards. I feel like they're going rush us out of there. I'm trying to figure out if the space is available until 5:00.

Thanks!

I am thinking about the Palm Court too for my RH. Does anyone know the price for a Sunday night wedding there?

Thanks.
