Panic about my invites

Panic about my invites

So my SIL calls me today to tell me her sister is coming even though she hasnt sent her response yet...and she asks me, 'arent you having a cocktail hour'..and I say, yes...she said, 'cause you invite says please join us for a reception beginning at 6:00pm'..so I told her that when I ordered invites from 'her' I looked on her website and that is how everyone did it..they didnt specifically spell out that the cocktail hour was at 6:00....was I wrong...are people going to think now I am not having a cocktail hour????

I did mine to start at 7:30 which is when my cocktail hour starts.

I personally would assume that any time indicated on the invite was the cocktail hour...

No, you did the right thing. When you say 'Reception to follow' that includes cocktail hour. Right? lol, now I am second guessing myself

does she think you're supposed to include a time line on the invitations? maybe she wants to know what time the cake cutting is too lol

funny thing is..I wasnt planning on inviting her cause my wedding is small, but my SIL is my MOH..and I did it out of respect for her...and now she is being picky about what time she has to show up????
