I'm about to have a freakin' panic attack. Went to a few different hotels to talk about hotel blocks. They have a maximum of 20 rooms in a hotel block. I'm looking at a minimum of 120 out of guests for a holiday weekend. I have no clue what the heck I'm going to do. I'm freaking out!!

you can't add on more after you book the 20 rooms? They will usually let you add more on

120 guests is really more like 60-80 rooms, so you need 4 hotel blocks. Think of it this way, you are giving your guests more choice, you can pick a really nice hotel, a really inexpensive one and two in the middle.

You can, but only if they still have rooms available, and I'm worried that they will book up a lot faster, and all my friends are 'last minute' kinds of people. Eek

I was thinking this! It's nice to have a choice as a guest, between price range and location etc. :)

yes then I would definitely book at least 1 if not 2 other local hotels

Thanks for all the advice. I was hoping to book one hotel so I can more easily shuttle my drunken friends, but looks like I may just need to leave it up to my guests to decide on which hotel is right for them and such.
