I do breathing exercises and exercise to relieve some of the stress. They say when you are feeling anxious just get up and take a walk. Are you having full blown panic attacks?

No, full blown is sweating and feeling like you're going to vomit, pass out and suffocate all at the same time. However, if you don't get treatment now, it may come to that. Trust me, it is HORRIBLE! I think you should go see your MD asap.

You need to let the doctor know. I've had 2 full blown ones in the past 3 years. They are bad. I felt like I was gasping for my last breath and my chest was hurting, they had to put an oxygen mask and give me drugs to calm me down. I have learned to control them a bit. When I feel that tightness and lack of air and I take deep breaths and try distracting myself.

What i do when I get panic attacks I take deep beathes and I take valerian root.

Panic attacks are the worst....if you really are feeling that bad go to your Doctor!!!! He can give you something to ease your attack immediately.

Re: Panic Attacks

breathe in with your nose,m hold for three seconds, then breathe out through your mouth. SLOWLY.

And get out of the situation.

I suffered w/them for about 8 years. Total suckage!!! I'm so scared this wedding is going to bring them back but so far so good!

I would talk to a dr. about it but medication isn't always the answer.

Def Breathing .... Zanax helps to stop them from occuring

I agree with the breathing though, you have to get it under control because that is what is making you light headed. Take deep breaths in through your nose and slow exhale through your mouth do that at least 10 times until you can feel your heart rate slow down.

Re: Panic Attacks

I know this is going to sound crazyyyyyy!!!! However, I have suffered from panic attacks since I was 18 years old. I have tried all different methods, xanax, different medicines, yoga, breathing tequniques... the whole 9 yards...

Just the other night I was experiencing a bad anxiety attack and FH said, lets play cards... I was like 'Shut the f*ck up.. I'm in the middle of a freakin panic attack here.. I dont want to play cards!!' Anyway, I gave in and within like 2 minutes tops.. all of my symptoms were gone.. I wasnt dizzy, nauseous, nothing...

I think just doing anything that you have to think about and anything that will take your mind away from it works!!

sorry to crash...sounds like panic attack to me..they differ from person to person so this might be a full blown one for you. I know all the girls have said this but definitely just try to get your breathing under control. Take a walk, listen to music, do anything that gets you to stop thinking about the symptoms. Thinking about how awful you feel will make you more nervous about it and that will make the symptoms worse! its a vicious cycle! I just tell myself that it is anxiety and it will pass...nothing is physiologically wrong its just my head playing tricks on me. I hope you feel better soon!

That is freakin' genius!

What game? I ask because I want to know if it was more number-oriented or suit-oriented, and whether it's a random luck thing or something strategic that required you to use logic.

For the OP, I recommend a repetitive task. Folding things, separating papers, collating papers, removing staples, something simple but distinct.
