Ok so my wedding is in 47 days. A girl I work with does calligraphy & offered to address my invitations, which was GREAT. Well, I am home on leave and not returning to work until after the wedding. So 3 weeks ago,I gave her the invitations, which were 2 weeks late coming back from the printer. I told her I needed these done ASAP.
Ok, that was THREE WEEKS AGO. My RSVP date is May 11. I told her to Fed Ex them to me from work last week. She said she was afraid to mail them b/c they might get damaged & that she'd bring them to me or we'd meet halfway (I now live 1 hour from her/the office). I told her on Friday I would drive there tonight (in a monsoon, with a newborn, and with the Boston Marathon shutting down the city). Now she says she got called into work tonight at her 2nd job.
would anyone else be near tears? What if she cancels again? i am a mess...

Wow, don't freak out too much. Just tell her you need to pick them up right away and drive wherever you have to get them. If she didn't have the time then she should've never offered to do them. Thank her anyway, but time is running out

OK, first take a deep breath. You've got a lot on your plate right now with the wedding to plan and a new baby all at once and you don't need to get overstressed! it's all going to work out.
Now, as much as I hate to say this, it sounds to me like she's not done yet and she's stalling. I would call her on it - offer to drive to her 2nd job tonight and meet her there. Tell her you'll only take 30 seconds of her time for her to run out and bring them to you. If she was really worried about mailing them and wasn't sure what to do, this will make it easy on her and the whole thing will be over. If not, this will call her bluff and get her a$$ in gear to finish them.

Take a bunch of deep deep breaths then call her right away,tell her you will pick them up no matter what time it is tonight after she gets home from work, even if it is late, otherwise first thing in the morning before work...Let her know in a nice way that This is your wedding, and just say to her if they are not done please let me know as I need to get them out by today.....Time is ticking away...so sorry you have to deal with this crazy stuff right now.

i definitly would be pissed.. however just tell her no matter where she and no matter what time it is.. you will be there to pick them up...tonight.. no later!!!!!!

I'm scared that she's stalling too. Should I print up labels just in case? I am FREAKING OUT. These things should have been mailed out a month ago!

Sorry, Id be frustrated too! Just let her know again that you NEED them ASAP!! If not, fall on your back up plan and get them out!!!!
