Paper-Source Wedding Workshop - DIY Invite Q

Just wanted to pass along the information we found yesterday. We must have spent about an hour in there trying to figure out where to start for DIY invites. But next Saturday they are holding a workshop from 11-1 in Garden City. It's $20 and you sign up online.

I also have a question for anyone doing DIY Invites - where did you start? FW wants something with a personal touch by making them and then I have a design in mind that I can't seem to find anywhere in case we just order some. So far we have a printer and some colored blank cards to practice - help!

Paper-Source Wedding Workshop - DIY Invite Q - Long Island Weddings

I'm DIY. I bought the kits from Michaels. I waited until there was a 50% off coupon and bought the invitations. You can get them for a steal with the coupons! The kits come with the invitations, response cards, envelopes, and a code for a website where you can download the template and just change the wording.

Paper-Source Wedding Workshop - DIY Invite Q

I'm diying my invites. I started by looking at images online to see what I liked. From there it was easy to come up with a design I liked, I did everything in Photoshop and ordered all paper from cards and pockets.

cj52514 - I tried the Michael's in Oceanside and it was slim pickings. There was barely any selection. Ladygoodman, I'm going to check that site out now. Thanks!

I am DIY'ing my invites as well. On Etsy, they have lots of templates for sale. I don't have photoshop and I can't seem to make it work on Word so I am using that option. If you find a template that you like, I'm sure the seller will be able to customize to your liking. Good luck!

For Etsy - do I just search for 'wedding templates'? Everytime I perform a search I seem to find more of what is on google.
