..... Has anyone used them or are currently using them?
I would really like to hear some reviews. I ordered my gown and BM dresses from them. But recently I've been told by quite a few people on here that they had HORRIBLE experiences with them. Now I'm panicking! If anyone has had good or bad experiences with them, please let me know. Thank you

Re: Paradise Bridal
The only experience I had with them was going there with my daughter to look for gowns. I thought they were shady since they take the labels out of all the dresses and won't tell you who the designer is until you order the gown. Didn't like that.

Re: Paradise Bridal
This place has been in business for many years and have always been respected. however when I went with my daughter, I was not at all pleased with how we were treated. The saleswoman kept pushing the gowns she wanted her to try and was not at all listening to what my daughter wanted. She also lied to me about a manufacturer. I knew a certain dress was not made by the manufacturer she said. She just said it because she overheard my daughter say that she liked their dresses. I called the next day and got the truth about the designer of the dress. Totally turned us off.....can't trust them. Other than my own experience with that.....there have been many bad reviews on here concerning their alterations. If we had bought there, we were not going to do the alterations there.

Re: Paradise Bridal
I'm seriously starting to panic. I ordered an Eve of Milady gown with them. They measured me and wrote everything down. Then they asked me to come back when I purchased my shoes, so that they could measure my hollow to hem. When I returned, my bridal consultant had already left. So another woman measured my hollow to hem. Then she started to do my other measurements *(even though the 1st one had already done them).... and tells me that the first consultant was wrong and changes everything on my paper. I was worried then bc two different girls got two different measurements for me!
But now after hearing all these reviews... I'm seriously scared! What if they ordered the completely wrong size for me????

Re: Paradise Bridal
Maybe you can call tomorrow and speak to the first measurements and just voice your concerd with 2 different sets of measurements before they do anything with them?
I have 2 close friends that both got their gowns there...1) wasn't thrilled with how her dress fit her, says it just wasn't taken in enough. 2) was 100% happy with her dress, it fit her perfectly and it looked like it was made for her!

Really its hit or miss, some people i know had a great experience-but it seems like they are getting more and more negative reviews. This is what I recommend.......Measure YOURSELF! Get the sizing chart off the website of the dress that you ordered and figure out waht size you SHOULD be! Dont go exact, lets say the 4 is your exact measurements...get a 6.
Bring your measurements and the dress size to them and go over it with them. Have them measure you AGAIN! And go from there. Keep on top of them the WHOLE TIME!!!
When your dress comes in, request Celia as your seamstress, she did a wonderful job on my dress AFTER all my alterations were done. She fixed all the F ups. Request her from the get go. Truthfully-you will need to be VERY FIRM WITH THEM FROM GO! They dont respond well to niceness. They poo you off like nothing-where as I turned into a jerk and they got me answers.
PLEASE whatever you do-if you are uncomfortable or unhappy with something that they are doing tell them! Dont let it go
Good Luck!!!

Re: Paradise Bridal
i got my dress and BM dresses there and had a bit of a time. when it came to the sales part, the woman i worked with was great. all of the sample dresses i tried on had the designer tags still in them, so i'm not sure what that one woman was talking about, but perhaps that varies per designer. i ordered my dress sept 10, 2006 for my sept 9, 2007 wedding and was originally told it would be in in march, which was key, because i live in AZ and needed to fly back to NY for my fittings, so i needed extra time for them. well, march rolls around and there's no dress, in fact the dress didn't arrive until july 28th!!! there was a lot of freaking out and angry phone calls between march and july 28th, but in the end it turned out ok. i also had to bring my veil back twice because they kept giving me the wrong one. i didn't get my alterations done there either for two reasons - i got my prom dress there in HS and they screwed up my dress then, when all they needed to do was shorten the straps. some how it ended up too tight, with straps that were too long. also, they don't do alterations on the weekends and that was the only time i could be home in NY. i loved my dress to pieces, but i wish i ordered it somewhere else.
now, the BM dresses were great. we had no problems. we ordered them the first week in april. they told me they would be in mid-late july and i got the call on june 15th that they were in! all of my BMs lived OOT, so they didn't get their alterations there either, but i would've told them not to anyway.
i know you're worried since you just ordered with them, but just stay on top of them. get the order #s if you can, the # for the company and hound them once they say your dress should be in. i probably should've hounded them a lot more in march and april than i did and perhaps that would've speeded things up, but i was trying to be optimistic. like i said, in the end, everything worked out, so try not to freak out too much! just keep on them and you'll be fine!

Re: Paradise Bridal
Thanks everyone! I'm going to call them first thing this morning-as soon as they are open. I'm gonna ask them the size that they wrote down for me. And maybe when it comes in, I'll just pay for it and bring it elsewhere to get fitted. Just not sure where... The only seamstress I know is at my dry cleaners. I can't imagine bringing my dress there... Anyone know of a really good seamstress? I think my BM's are going to be so annoyed with me-if I ask them to bring their dresses elsewhere (since the place capped off alterations at a low price). AHHH!

Re: Paradise Bridal
Everyone was right! I went back in and had them re-measure me. They had the wrong size. But of course they blamed it on me... I lost a whole dress size in 3 months! (AHEM....BS). I gained 7-8 pounds since my initial fitting and yet I somehow went down a size? It wasn't possible (in their mind) that they might have measured me wrong? They are telling me that it's too late for them to tell Eve of Milady to change my order to a smaller size. I have 8 months til my wedding... Is it really too late for them to change it? Oh and the best was ....The dress they ordered me was a 11/12. They had me put on a 9/10 tonight and that was too big. So what is a 11/12 going to be on me? And when I told the woman that I planned on losing the 7-8 lbs that I've gained since my initial fitting, she told me that I should not look into losing weight but rather stay the weight I am now or gain some-so that the dress will fit!!!! She thought I was crazy to want to work out and get in shape before my big day!
