Everyone was right. They are horrible! After hearing everyone's horror stories, I went back in and and asked to be remeasured. Oh and what a shock! They had the wrong measurements down. And the funniest part... It's my fault. I lost a lot of weight. Hmm... I've gained at least 7 lbs since my initial measurements and have not seen a gym in seriously 7 weeks (not that I'm proud of that). They didn't screw up the measurements-it was me. I went down more than a size in my hips and a size in my waist. You guys should all try my new diet.... Icecream, pizza, beer, and mac and cheese. It really works!
To make matters worse- she doesnt think she can change the size they ordered for me. Even though my wedding is 8 months away. Then the best part...... They ordered me a size 11/12 wedding gown. They had me try on a size 9 last night and it kept falling down (even with clips). So I say to the woman, well if a size 9 is too big on me and I plan on losing the weight that I put on since my initial measurements, what is a size 11/12 going to look like on me??? And her answer.... Well maybe you should think about not losing anymore weight and maybe even putting on some!!!!!!!!!! Hmmmm ... Great answer!

THAT IS HORRIBLE!!!! Did you get them to change the size of the dress? If not I would contact the owner right away!

Re: Paradise Bridal
Thanks guys! My DOC suggested that I call Eve of Milady directly. So I did. I'm so not confrontational but this just really upset me. I called them up and explained everything. They said they would look into it and let me know what they could do but that they agreed it was unacceptable. Next thing I know, Paradise Bridal leaves me a message on my cell phone that they spoke to E.O.M and they are now (all of a sudden) able to give me the size 9 instead of 11/12. They said they are closing now but to please call tomorrow morning and they will fix everything! I'm definitely NOT doing my alterations with them but I'm glad this part was worked out. I'll keep you all updated! Thanks

Re: Paradise Bridal
Wow that's a bit rediculous. They probably orderd it way too big so they can charge you more for alterations. Have you thought about getting your dress elsewhere? Is it too late to cancel that order?

My sister's friend got her dress from there and her dress didn't come in until the day before the wedding. I was sure not to go there. Good luck i hope everything works out.

Re: Paradise Bridal
Good Luck, IM glad that you were able to get the right size dress. They are a bunch of complete idiots over there...FOR REAL!
PS-they asked if it was that time of the month for me when my dress was too small b/c as if having my period makes my hips bigger...when I looked at the contract-there it was written in that I requested a 4....and the size they recemmended to me was a 2...i signed off that it was my responsibility...still got a size 2 so who takes the responsibility for that??? NOT them.
Definitely take your dress somewhere else. Dry cleaners will do alterations, Phyllis from Bridal Elegance, you may spend MORE money but in the end at least you will have the confidence knowing that your dress look amazing and fits you perfectly

Re: Paradise Bridal
Thanks Everyone! I'm going back tonight to get remeasured. They are going to send E.O.M my new measurements and reorder the dress for me. Of course they promised that I will get the dress back in time but I am going to say something again tonight directly to the manager-I want it back in plenty of time. I am DEFINITELY going to bring my dress elsewhere for alterations. No way (after this and all of the horror stories on here) that I'm getting my dress or the BM's dresses altered there. I wish I could just cancel the order but it's way too late. But at least they are changing the size and the head of sales at Eve of Milady is going to call me Tuesday to make sure that everything is good. E.O.M was very helpful! Really sweet and experienced staff handling their phones. Thanks for all of your advice. I'll keep you updated with tonight's appointment!

Re: Paradise Bridal
DONT tell them that you are taking the dress somewhere else. They will try and fight you on it. Just tell them you want it in. Most likely it will come in in february, I ordered my dress in september and it came in on Valentines day. When they tell you its in tell them that you want to come in and check it-they claim that they dont allow this-just say with the size issue you want to MAKE SURE! When you go tell them you are paying the balance and taking the dress. PERIOD

Good call. I never would have even thought of that. I won't say anything and when the dress comes in, I'll tell them that after the whole size issue, I need to come in and see it. Then I'll do as you say and pay and leave. I'm not letting them touch the dress after all of this. Such a shame, that brides need to be so worried about things like this.

I'm SO glad they reordered the dress for you!! because of that, i would agree with Peggy, DON'T tell them your going to take it elsewhere for alterations!! and that's great that you are speaking with EOM! i kept asking for Lazaro's info to call them myself, but they refused to hand it over.

Re: Paradise Bridal
Ok, I'm back from Paradise Bridal. They were not very happy with me but oh well! The re measured me and changed the size on my contract. And they also remeasured my hollow to hem and of course, it was also off. So had I not gotten re- measured, I would have not been able to wear any heels on my wedding day! I had them put it in writing that my dress will be back in time-as originally scheduled. So I'm crossing my fingers.

Yeah, they gave me the same bs. I called my DOC and asked her for advice. She's amazing...She called me back with the direct phone number to the EOM sales department. Otherwise, I would probably still be sitting here upset and being told that they can't do anything about it.
