How many pics are you guys having in your parent album and in your albums????

My album has 70 pics.
Our parent's albums have 20 pics each. Originally they were supposed to be 30 pics each and only two parent albums. But I need three (my parents are divorced) SO we added a third album and cut them down to 20 pics each so it would be the same cost.

We aren't doing a parent album; I didn't think it was worth the extra expensive at first but now I'm starting to change my mind

OK now I have a dilema.....
We got a quote for 50 pics for us.... 2 parents for 24 pics each..... 2 Photogs 1 Video 6 8x8, 6 5x7, 6 5x5, 3 mixes (included, won't change the price even if I take these out) 16 5x7 for Bridal Party 150 Thank you Free Save the Dates DVD with Proofs and Rights
$6300
If we take out the parent album, we can deduct $900, so $5400........
is this good!!?!

Ours has 30 pages, about 60-80 pictures and the parent albums have 20-30 pictures each.

Honestly, it sounds a little high to me. I'm getting the following (plus some upgrades, but this is the basic package that I'm working with):
70 Pic 8x12 bridal album (2) 30 pic 5x7 parent albums (1) 20x24 portrait (2) 11x14 (10) 5x7 100 thank yous all proofs high res cd 2 photographers (1 is a photojournalist)
Video / DVD full coverage of ceremony and reception state of the art digital camera wireless microphones 6 chapters fully studio edited w/ digital special effects opening picture sequence digital titles & graphics music overlays recap ending (3) DVDs or VHS tape
All of that for under $6K

My parent album is a copy of our album... it is just smaller.. I think our album will have 70-80 images on 36 pages
Will your parent albums have different pictures then bride/groom album? I am wondering what is better?

not sure how many pics but each album has 36 pages in them, so it depends on how many pictures we want on each page.

Well, I am guessing the parent albums will be different.....my sisters wedding, my parents album has diff pics than hers and her IL's album.....my parents album from my sisters wedding is mostly pics of our family, and a few of the IL's and their family. I am sure it is the same way vice versa.

We didn't get them from our photographers but they are mini clones of the couple's album

my album has 100 pictures we are not doing parent alabums right now- we can always add them on after the wedding- they will get a few framed photos and we will have the cd where we can print out picture for them!
