I was wondering who is doing their parent albums on snapfish or another site.......
our quote for photography is really high, over 6k, and was wondering in an effort to save money, how do you think your parent albums will come out by getting them done outside of your photog or doing them on your own??
we can save about 850 if we DONT get parent albums but at the same time, I don't want to do them on snapfish or another site and have them not come out nice enough??

i removed our parent albums from our package. it saved us $900! i have seen many girls say that snapfish does beautiful albums. thats what i plan on doing

I've read up on reviews of photo books through shutterfly and snapfish. They tend to be in the middle, with some people very happy and others disappointed.
IMO, the books top out at about $50; they're probably going to be of a lesser quality than getting them through your photographer (like maybe less creative ability, or lower quality paper, you know?). I'm willing to take the risk; I've ordered plenty of things through snapfish and shutterfly and have never been disappointed.
I may be a little biased as well, since FH and I are taking on the photog bill. So if our parents want pro albums, they can pony up the ca$h!

I was thinking about doing ours through my iPhoto program. I made FH a photo book for his birthday through there and it turned out really nice.

i took out the parent albums too. mom doesnt want one, she just wants an enlarged photo of us and i will make one on snapfish or kodak for FILs and dad/stepmom. it didnt even occur to me to ask them- i just took them out lol.

i also have seen other girls post about different photo sites...i would do a search and see what comes up. a few sites i havent really heard of

question? if you do the albums through these sites is it strictly an online thing or do you create a physical album? I am definitely going to do my own parent albums, but haven't looked into the different ways of doing it yet. I can totally arrange the pages and layouts on my own..is there a way to then send that to a company and they can print and bind it where it would be the same kind as what you would be getting from the photog?
