What are people doing for parent gifts? I need some ideas.

I just went to a wedding this weekend and the bride and groom gave their parents the most amazing gift- they gave each set a gift certificate from some website (I think www.giftcertificates.com) for a weekend away of their choice. I am not familiar with that website but someone told me that they have B&B all over the northeast on there. I thought that was a really nice idea and their parents absolutely loved it!

I gave my mom a diamond jewerly for the wedding to wear on that day. However, because my dad passed away 6 years ago, he had promised that when I were to get married they would take their first trip to hawaii together. Unfortunately he couldn't make it, but after the wedding, 1 month after I surprised her with a trip for two for hawaii. We stayed about 1 week, and had the best time. There is no right gift to get for your parents. It depends on your relationship, and what you will like giving. Give them something they can remember always. Good luck

I'm sorry to hear about your father, but what a beautiful way to honor his memory!!! I'm sure your mother appreciated it, and your father would have been proud. Congrats on your wedding.

we got the parents a picture frame w our names and wedding date engraved on the bottom

Mindy it might have been bedandbreakfast.com, we got my cousin one from there for her wedding a few years ago! It worked great! I have also gotten a gc from giftcertificates.com and it was a great idea, FI and I split the money up and wound up with 3 great gcs for 3 different places!
