I wanted to get my parents a gift certificate to mohegan sun as their parent gift. Any ideas on how much I should get it for. I thought it would be good for them to stay overnight and maybe dinner. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I was thinking of something like that too - We were going to get them a B&B in Newport - I guess you can call and find out the rates for the hotel per night - I'd say for 2 nights and dinner ? - $500 ?? I have no idea what a rooms costs up there though

I don't know the exact price, but it is more expenisve to stay at the Mohecan Sun than in Vegas. FH & I went there about a year ago. We stayed at a different hotel. (I am fuzzy on the details because the trip was a suprise and he treated).
That said, it is absolutely beautiful. May be they have specials or the rates have come down.

smilecaa - I am pretty sure Mohegan's room rates are ~400 beans! We usually get mailings for their 99$ specials which we sometimes take advantage of, but otherwise I think they are crazy asking for what they do. And they are very strict with the qpons... it has to be 'yourself' using the promotion! I would definitley look further into it though. I think it's a nice gesture! I know my parents would love it since they go there often..
