My parents are paying for the reception as a wedding gift, and FH parents are giving some money (their wedding gift) toward it. Should my FH and I buy them a gift? If so, does anyone have any ideas? Thanks...

What we are planning to do, is give both our parents a small token gift and then give them a wedding album once the pictures are all done! I am making a really nice scrap-book style album for both sides and I know this will be special and not TOO expensive...that is an issue for us. Otherwise, you could have an album made for them.

Personally IMO if they're paying for the reception I would get them a REALLY nice gift. I'm not sure if you know how much they're paying for a plate but take it from someone who is paying for their wedding themself....get them something nice. You can get them tickets to a show or a B&B get-a-way package. I've heard some of the girls talk about those. GL

Another thing, when we do get parent gifts, do we have to get the same gift for each set of parents, or spend the same amout on them? I'm a little confused what the proper way is.
