I had no freakin idea what to do. I haven't gotten my dad anything yet. I'm kinda stuck on that. No clue. I bought my mom a Coach bag. Are you getting FH anything?

yeah, think i'm gonna get my fh a gold pocketwatch, kinda old fashioned looking with something engraved on the back. haven't though it through all the way yet.

We bought them matching Citizen Eco-drive watches. We also ordered an engraved wooden box online that holds a pic in the front...the engraving says...'A timeless token of our appreciation'...get it? timeless? watches? ![]()
Yeah...we're dorks...FH came up with that...loved the idea.
Anyway...we took the watches out of their original boxes and put them in the engraved box together.

ok, here's a question:
if the brides parents are paying for almost the entire wedding, and the groom's parent is contributing absolutely nothing to the wedding, how does the couple deal with giving gifts to the parents?

Or if neither parents are contributing to the wedding...do you still have to get parent gifts?? We were not planning on it...

Our parents aren't contributing either. We aren't giving them gifts.

i got SO much for my mom! b/c she has been there so much for me during planning...
i got her:
*a beautiful sapphire pendant necklace (real stone) to wear at the wedding
*earrings (simple white gold oval hoops)
*a purse dyed to match her MOB dress
*precious moments figurine with mother and daughter on wedding day
*a hinged frame, and on one side I typed up a poem, on the other side i put in pics of us when i was little
For my Dad:
*same hinged frame as my mom with pics one one side and a poem on the other
*3 stooges beer stein (he is a HUGE 3 stooges fan) he LOVED IT!
*father of the bride DVD
