We are paying for the wedding ourselves. However FH parents are paying for RD and my mother paid for my dress.
Cost them both about $1,000.00. We are paying for their limos and all of their guests for the wedding. Do you think we should still get them parent gifts?

I would say get them something little at least so they don't feel left out when your giving out the rest of the gifts to the BP

my initial reaction was NO!!!! ... if anything, maybe an engraved picture frame with your wedding date or something on it but i wouldn't go nuts since your paying for everything

I know, I dont want it to seem like they didnt do anything so they dont get anything...but we are so strapped for money that it is hard. I dont even know what to get them considering it would need to be small

If you want get them something small so that they can feel special. Sometimes its not about the price of the gift but how special the person feels when they get it!

Yeah - it might be better to give them an actual gift that they do not know the value of, may look like more. (This is why I gave gifts at weddings instead of cash when I was younger!)
