I really hope this doesn’t come out mean, but if our parents aren’t hosting our wedding- should we still get them gifts? TIA

Re: Parent gifts
No, it doesn't come off mean. FIL's are the only parents we have and they are not giving us anything for the wedding so we are just getting them an engraved pic frame and the parent album.
definitely not required but we are because my parents are paying for my dress and my shower and have done so much for us over the years that I think its a nice thing to do...

Definatly not mean, lol... But i get where your coming from. I am thinking of doing something small for my mother that will be on the memory keepsake side, and then I am going to pay for her to get her makeup done the day of the wedding.

Not at all! My parents are paying for half so we're giving them a weekend getaway somewhere and FIL's aren't paying for anything so we're just giving them the parent album.

Re: Parent gifts
if u are planning on giving every1 gifts atthe RD and u skip the set of parents that havent contributed to the weddding.. they might get hurt and embarassed. i would get them a picture frame.
like... i want to get my mom a nice bag since she never buys anythign expensive for herself.. or take her on a cruise.. i cant do that and hand fhs parents a gc to the olive garden. ya know?
so maybe u exlain to ur parents afterwards why ur giving them their gift seperately?
